The Media Women’s Network launched the “You are the Voice” initiative to encourage female journalists to support women working in public affairs, as part of the “Wathiqoon” Program.
The initiative brought together 61 media activists from different regions of Syria, and trained 21 of them in writing articles and news stories, and 11 others in publishing on websites.
As part of the initiative, they also produced a number of media materials, including motion graphics videos, opinion polls, and a magazine with their own pens.
The “You are the Voice” initiative aims to make a positive and tangible impact on empowering women and enhancing their capacities in order to increase their access to decision-making positions.
